Advanced heat shields utilizing multi-layer aluminum-foil insulation and ceramic thermal barriers are deployed to insulate adjacent electrical components from exhaust heat.

The ongoing focus on vehicle range extension, both for electric-only modes and total hybrid range, ensures that lightweighting and tight underbody packaging will remain core design parameters. Exhaust system suppliers that offer lightweight, compact, and thermally insulated systems are well-positioned to meet the demands of next-generation hybrid vehicle manufacturing.
